The EOEP now has so many fewer courses than they used to. Are there really only six topics that elected officials need to learn about?

The EOEP redeveloped their course offerings based on a number of factors, including feedback from program participants, other elected officials, course instructors, and best practices used in similar programs elsewhere. One recurring theme throughout our research is that a smaller course roster focused on the most important issues is more impactful than a large course roster addressing issues that are unimportant to most elected officials. A smaller course roster allows for higher quality courses, more frequent content updates, and a more consistent learning environment. We strived to take the most important aspects of all our previous courses and ensure they are included within our new smaller course roster.
