Welcome to the new EOEP site!!  We’re just about at our first month anniversary and registrations for Munis 101 are going like great guns.

Since registration for Munis 101 opened on July 5, we’ve had quite a few phone calls and emails from municipal staff wondering how they can register councillors for the course when they won’t even know for sure who their council is until after the upcoming municipal elections.  That’s a fair question and one that we had to put a lot of thought and time into designing the registration process to address this unique situation.

We hope that the solution we developed works for most municipalities.  Basically, municipalities can entire placeholder registration information for the time being to secure the number of seats they need for the course (we hope it’s enough seats for your entire council!).   After the election, the EOEP will work with municipalities to replace the placeholder identification with the actual names of the new and returning councillors attending the course.  Really it’s pretty simple and will ensure municipalities have their training plan figured out well in advance of the election.
